On top of that, the heads are CNC-machined, have unleaded-friendly iron valve seats, and the ends are drilled and tapped for car accessories and auto parts.

The Pretenders rose to prominence as the punk scene started to fade, becoming an integral part of the early 80’s new wave scene. Lead by the ever-enigmatic Chrissie Hynde, the band caused a stir from their very first single. Hynde had originally moved to England to join a punk band and played with number of groups involved with the scene, including a project lead by the legendary Clash guitarist Mick Jones. The Pretenders only came together after Hynde got attention for demos she recorded on her own in 1978. The band’s first album was a massive hit in both Europe and America.
